AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION TO CONVEY CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY TO THE CITY OF BROOKHAVEN, LINCOLN COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. In consideration of One Dollar ($1.00), the Department of Finance and Administration, upon meeting the requirements of Section 29-1-1, upon completion of the new National Guard Armory and upon abandonment of the real property described in this act by the federal military department, may convey, on behalf of the State of Mississippi, certain state-owned real property located in Brookhaven, Lincoln County, Mississippi, to the City of Brookhaven, Lincoln County, Mississippi, the property being more particularly described as follows:

2.71 acres in SE 1/4 of NW 1/4 and in SW 1/4 of NE 1/4 as described in deed book 296, page 260, and 2 acres in SE 1/4 of NW 1/4 of SW 1/4 of NE 1/4 as described in deed book 388, page 104, in the Office of the Chancery Clerk of Lincoln County, Mississippi.

SECTION 2. The State of Mississippi shall retain all mineral rights to the state-owned real property conveyed pursuant to this act.

SECTION 3. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
