MISSISSIPPI LEGISLATURE

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PRESIDENT OF THE SENATE TO APPOINT TWO MEMBERS OF THE SENATE TO ATTEND REGULAR AND SPECIAL MEETINGS OF THE MISSISSIPPI GAMING COMMISSION; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES. 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, That the President of the Senate is authorized to designate two members of the Senate who may attend meetings of the Mississippi Gaming Commission. The Secretary of the Senate shall send the Mississippi Gaming Commission the names and addresses of those senators who are designated by the President of the Senate pursuant to this resolution; and the gaming commission shall keep such senators informed of the time, date and location of all regular and special meetings of the gaming commission.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That for attending meetings of the gaming commission, senators designated pursuant to this resolution shall receive per diem and expenses which shall be paid from the Senate Contingent Expense Fund in the same amount as provided for committee meetings when the Legislature is not in session; however, no per diem or expenses for attending meetings of the gaming commission shall be paid while the Legislature is in session.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a copy of this resolution be sent to the Executive Director of the Mississippi Gaming Commission and to each of the three members of the Mississippi Gaming Commission.
