A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION COMMENDING DEBBIE BUNCH FOR HER DISTINGUISHED SERVICE AS PRESIDENT OF THE TRI-COUNTY JAYCEES. 

WHEREAS, the Tri-County Jaycees were formed in April 1995, as a leadership training and community service organization serving Hinds, Rankin and Copiah Counties; and

WHEREAS, in February 1996, Debbie Bunch was elected as the President of the Tri-County Jaycees and will conclude her year in office in May 1997; and

WHEREAS, the theme for Debbie Bunch's term of office has been "In Unity There Is Strength" and through that theme she has demonstrated that by working together people are able to achieve positive results; and

WHEREAS, under Debbie Bunch's leadership the Tri-County Jaycees has implemented numerous projects including projects supporting the Make-A-Wish Foundation, the University Medical Center Children's Hospital, the American Cancer Society and the Mississippi Animal Rescue League; and

WHEREAS, the United States Jaycees has recognized the Tri-County Jaycees as the number one growth chapter in America in their population division; and

WHEREAS, during Debbie Bunch's term of office the Mississippi Jaycees has recognized the Tri-County chapter as the number one chapter in the state for the past three quarters and as the top growth chapter for the state, as well as bestowing many awards for chapter projects; and

WHEREAS, Debbie Bunch joined the Tri-County Jaycees in April 1995, and was a charter member of the chapter; and

WHEREAS, Debbie Bunch served as Administrative Vice-President/Public Relations Director of the Tri-County Jaycees and played a major role in raising money for Copiah County heart transplant patient Craig Smith and for the Mississippi Fire Fighters Burn Center; and

WHEREAS, Debbie Bunch was chosen by the Mississippi Jaycees as outstanding local president for the past three quarters and has been recognized for her outstanding membership recruitment efforts; and

WHEREAS, Debbie Bunch was born on the 6th day of December 1963, and is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Brown of Crystal Springs, Mississippi; and

WHEREAS, Debbie Bunch is the proud parent of two fine daughters, Erin and Megan, who have been active and supported her during her term as president; and

WHEREAS, during her term of office Debbie Bunch has continued her service to the state at the Mississippi Employment Security Commission; and

WHEREAS, it is the policy of this Legislature to recognize and commend the exemplary service of the citizens of this state:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES CONCURRING THEREIN, That the Mississippi Legislature does hereby commend Debbie Bunch on her distinguished service and tireless dedication as the President of the Tri-County Jaycees, and wish her success in her endeavors.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Secretary of the Mississippi Senate provide an enrolled copy of this resolution to Debbie Bunch.
