A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION SUSPENDING THE DEADLINES FOR THE PURPOSE OF REQUESTING THE DRAFTING, INTRODUCTION, CONSIDERATION AND PASSAGE OF A BILL TO AMEND SECTIONS 37-7-471 THROUGH 37-7-483, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO ALLOW SCHOOL BOARDS TO CONVEY TITLE TO CERTAIN SCHOOL REAL PROPERTY WHICH IS NOT USED FOR SCHOOL PURPOSES WITHOUT INCLUDING IN THE INSTRUMENT OF CONVEYANCE AN AUTOMATIC REVERTER OF TITLE TO THE SCHOOL DISTRICT IF THE PROPERTY CEASES TO BE USED FOR THE PURPOSE FOR WHICH IT IS CONVEYED. 

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES CONCURRING THEREIN, That the Joint Rules of the Senate and the House are hereby suspended for the purpose of requesting the drafting, introduction, consideration and passage, regardless of any deadlines imposed by said rules, of a bill to amend Sections 37-7-471 through 37-7-483, Mississippi Code of 1972, to allow school boards to convey title to certain school real property which is not used for school purposes without including in the instrument of conveyance an automatic reverter of title to the school district if the property ceases to be used for the purpose for which it is conveyed.
