Senate Concurrent Resolution 584

A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION COMMENDING AND CONGRATULATING DEBORAH HILL FOR BEING SELECTED AS INSTRUCTOR OF THE YEAR AT THE JACKSON COUNTY CAMPUS OF THE MISSISSIPPI GULF COAST COMMUNITY COLLEGE. 

WHEREAS, Deborah Hill, a resident of Ocean Springs, Mississippi, has been selected as Instructor of the Year at the Jackson County Campus of the Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College in recognition of her distinguished service to the college; and

WHEREAS, the award was established by the Alumni Association of the Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College to honor instructors at the college, and the recipient of the award is chosen from nominations submitted by students, faculty and administrators on the basis of their teaching excellence, college service, community service and professional development; and

WHEREAS, Deborah Hill, an Associate Degree Nursing instructor, has been an instructor at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College for the past 14 years; and

WHEREAS, Deborah Hill, attended Northwest Mississippi Community College, received her master's degree from the University of Mississippi and her bachelor's degree from Mississippi University for Women; and

WHEREAS, Deborah Hill, has served as ADN program evaluator for the National League for Nursing, Chairman of the ADN Evaluation Committee, an instructor for Project HOPE and performed volunteer work with the Jackson County Youth Shelter; and

WHEREAS, it is the policy of the Legislature to recognize and commend superior service and dedication to the State of Mississippi and its people:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES CONCURRING THEREIN, That we commend and congratulate Deborah Hill for her outstanding record and service at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College and for being selected as Instructor of the Year at the Jackson County Campus of the college, and we offer our best wishes for her continued success and further contributions.
