A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION COMMENDING AND CONGRATULATING CAROL HOLLEY FOR BEING SELECTED AS INSTRUCTOR OF THE YEAR AT THE JEFFERSON DAVIS CAMPUS OF THE MISSISSIPPI GULF COAST COMMUNITY COLLEGE. 

WHEREAS, Carol Holley, a resident of Biloxi, Mississippi, has been selected as Instructor of the Year at the Jefferson Davis Campus of the Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College in recognition of her distinguished service to the college; and

WHEREAS, the award was established by the Alumni Association of the Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College to honor instructors at the college, and the recipient of the award is chosen from nominations submitted by students, faculty and administrators on the basis of their teaching excellence, college service, community service and professional development; and

WHEREAS, Carol Holley, an English instructor, has been employed at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College for six years; and

WHEREAS, Carol Holley, a 1976 graduate of the Jefferson Davis Campus of Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, completed her Bachelor's Degree at the University of South Alabama and Master's Degree at the University of Southern Mississippi; and

WHEREAS, Carol Holley serves as chairperson of the MGCCC Steering Committee for Institutional Self-Study, coordinator of the MGCCC District Tech-Prep English Articulation, past secretary of the Volunteer Park Dixie Youth Baseball Board, and member of the Biloxi High School Baseball Diamond Club; and

WHEREAS, it is the policy of the Legislature to recognize and commend superior service and dedication to the State of Mississippi and its people:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MISSISSIPPI STATE SENATE, THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES CONCURRING THEREIN, That we commend and congratulate Carol Holley for her outstanding record and service at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College and for being selected as Instructor of the Year at the Jefferson Davis Campus of the college, and we offer our best wishes for her continued success and further contributions.
