Beginning our 1996 season, we met adversity with a hitting slump--but through hard work, determination and desire, these ladies went for their dreams. I called them 'Lady Dawgs on a mission--'. Mission accomplished."; and

WHEREAS, the Lady Bulldogs have developed a winning and cooperative spirit and a high degree of sportsmanship, as their activities and attitude reflect; and

WHEREAS, it is the policy of this Legislature to recognize and commend excellence, especially when evinced by the youth of our state, who are her future:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MISSISSIPPI SENATE, THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES CONCURRING THEREIN, That we do hereby commend and congratulate the Daniel High Lady Bulldogs Softball Team of New Albany, Mississippi, for their outstanding 1996 season and for displaying tireless devotion to their athletic endeavors.
