AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF MONROE COUNTY TO INCREASE THE AMOUNT OF FUNDS WHICH IT HAS BUDGETED FOR FISCAL YEAR 1996-1997 FOR OPERATION OF THE YOUTH COURT DIVISION OF CHANCERY COURT; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES. 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. The Board of Supervisors of Monroe County, Mississippi, is hereby authorized and empowered, in its discretion, to increase the amount of funds which it has budgeted for the operation of the youth court division of the chancery court for the 1996-1997 fiscal year in order to provide adequate funding for additional responsibilities imposed upon such court since the annual budget was approved by the board of supervisors pursuant to Section 43-21-123, Mississippi Code of 1972.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
