AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE GOVERNING AUTHORITIES OF THE CITY OF NATCHEZ TO CONTRIBUTE FOR DOWNTOWN REVITALIZATION; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES. 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. The governing authorities of the City of Natchez, Mississippi, are hereby authorized and empowered, in their discretion, to contribute during Fiscal Year 1996-1997 out of any available municipal funds an amount not to exceed Twenty-five Thousand Dollars ($25,000.00) to a duly organized nonprofit Mississippi corporation or association organized for promoting the growth, prosperity, development and revitalization of downtown Natchez.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
