AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE GOVERNING AUTHORITIES OF THE CITY OF AMORY TO CONTRIBUTE FUNDS MONTHLY FOR THE MAINTENANCE AND UPKEEP OF THE AMORY MASONIC CEMETERY; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES. 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. The governing authorities of the City of Amory, Mississippi, are hereby authorized and empowered, in their discretion, to contribute each month to the Amory Masonic Cemetery, out of any available municipal funds, an amount not to exceed Six Hundred Fifty Dollars ($650.00) to assist in the maintenance and upkeep of such cemetery. Any such contributions which have been made by the governing authorities on or after January 1, 1996, but prior to the effective date of this act, are hereby ratified, approved and confirmed.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
