AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF FORREST COUNTY TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE OPERATION OF CHILD ABUSE CENTERS; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES. 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. The Board of Supervisors of Forrest County, Mississippi, is authorized, in its discretion, to contribute a sum of money to the operation of child abuse centers that are sponsored by private agencies with federal tax exempt status as nonprofit organizations, or by public agencies, from any available county funds, in an aggregate amount not to exceed Three Thousand Dollars ($3,000.00) during calendar year 1997.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
