AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 19-23-19, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO REVISE THE OFFICE ALLOWANCE FOR SECRETARIAL ASSISTANCE FOR COUNTY PROSECUTORS; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES. 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. Section 19-23-19, Mississippi Code of 1972, is amended as follows:

19-23-19. The board of supervisors in each county in the State of Mississippi is hereby authorized, in its discretion, to pay a reasonable sum not exceeding One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) per month to the county prosecuting attorney for secretarial services actually rendered to said county prosecuting attorney in the discharge of the official duties of his office.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
