AN ACT TO PROVIDE THAT MUNICIPAL GOVERNING AUTHORITIES SHALL REQUIRE THAT THE MISSISSIPPI FLAG BE FLOWN AT CITY HALL; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES. 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. The governing authorities of every municipality in this state shall require that the flag of this state be flown on the grounds of the city hall of such governing authorities on every municipal working day and at any other times that the governing authorities deem appropriate.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 1997.
