Senate Bill 2430

AN ACT TO PROHIBIT THE CASHING OF CHECKS THAT REPRESENT AN AID FOR DEPENDANT CHILDREN PAYMENT OR A TEMPORARY ASSISTANCE FOR NEEDY FAMILIES PAYMENT BY A LICENSEE UNDER THE GAMING CONTROL ACT OR AN EMPLOYEE OF SUCH A LICENSEE; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES. 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. A licensee or employee of a licensee shall not cash a check that represents an Aid for Dependant Children (AFDC) payment or a Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) payment or accept such a check in exchange for any chip, token or other instrumentality.

SECTION 2. Section 1 of this act shall be codified in Chapter 76 of Title 75, Mississippi Code of 1972.

SECTION 3. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 1997.
