Senate Bill 2342

AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION TO PURCHASE A CERTAIN TRACT OF LAND, LOCATED AT 1029 NORTH CONGRESS STREET, ADJACENT TO THE MANSHIP HOUSE MUSEUM AND VISITORS CENTER IN JACKSON, MISSISSIPPI; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES. 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. (1) The Department of Finance and Administration, for and on behalf of the Mississippi Department of Archives and History, is authorized to purchase the certain tract of land, located at 1029 North Congress Street, adjacent to the Manship House Museum and Visitors Center in Jackson, Mississippi, more specifically described as follows:

50 ft W/S N Congress St x 35 ft E & W beg 150

ft N of Fortification St in Lot 73 N J

(2) No appraisal shall be required unless the purchase price exceeds the amount of Thirty-six Thousand Dollars ($36,000.00).

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
