AN ACT TO PROVIDE THAT THE MEDICAL BUILDING, OR ANY OTHER APPROPRIATE BUILDING, WITHIN THE CENTRAL MISSISSIPPI CORRECTIONAL FACILITY LOCATED IN RANKIN COUNTY SHALL BE NAMED THE "DR. ROBERT L. PEEDE MEDICAL BUILDING"; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES. 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. The medical building, or any other appropriate building, within the Central Mississippi Correctional Facility located in Rankin County shall be named and known as the "Dr. Robert L. Peede Medical Building." The Department of Corrections shall have an appropriate sign or signs placed at the building denoting the new name.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 1997.
