House Resolution 36

A RESOLUTION COMMENDING ERIN LYNNE MAJURE ON WINNING THE 1997 MISS TEEN GULF COAST PAGEANT.  

WHEREAS, a native Mississippian, Erin Lynne Majure was born in Gautier, Mississippi, to Mike and Debbie Majure; and

WHEREAS, Erin won the 1997 Miss Teen Gulf Coast Pageant which is in affiliation with the Miss America Pageant Association; and

WHEREAS, Erin will work in the community as Miss Teen Gulf Coast with the Gulf Coast Chamber of Commerce; and

WHEREAS, Erin is a member of numerous organizations such as the Beta Club, the Key Club, the Jeune Espirit Club and the Southern Exposure Dance Company which is located in Gautier, Mississippi; and

WHEREAS, Erin served as a legislative page for the 1997 Mississippi Legislature; and

WHEREAS, a devout Christian, Erin is the class representative for the Youth Council at the First Presbyterian Church in Pascagoula, Mississippi; and

WHEREAS, it is the policy of the House of Representatives of the State of Mississippi to commend excellence, especially when evidenced by the youth of our state, who are its future:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, That we do hereby commend and congratulate Erin Lynne Majure upon winning the 1997 Miss Teen Gulf Coast Pageant and wish her continued success in all of her future endeavors.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be furnished to Erin Lynne Majure and to members of the Capitol Press Corps.
