A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION EXTENDING THE 1997 REGULAR SESSION AND FIXING THE DATE OF SINE DIE ADJOURNMENT OF THE MISSISSIPPI LEGISLATURE. 

WHEREAS, Section 36, Mississippi Constitution of 1890, provides that the House of Representatives, by resolution with the Senate concurring therein, and by a two-thirds (2/3) vote of those present and voting in each house, may extend a regular session for a period of thirty (30) days:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, THE SENATE CONCURRING THEREIN, That the 1997 Regular Session of the Mississippi Legislature is hereby extended for a period of thirty (30) days from the final day of the ninety (90) calendar days of the 1997 Regular Session of the Mississippi Legislature, pursuant to the provisions of Section 36, Mississippi Constitution of 1890.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the 1997 Regular Session of the Mississippi Legislature will stand adjourned sine die at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, April 10, 1997.
