A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION TO COMMEND STACY HESTER ON BEING NAMED THE 1996 NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL COACH OF THE YEAR. 

WHEREAS, Coach Stacy Hester became head baseball coach at New Hope High School in 1991; and

WHEREAS, Coach Hester has guided the New Hope Baseball Team to national prominence as one of the best high school programs in the nation; and

WHEREAS, under his guidance, the 1996 New Hope Baseball Team compiled a record of 43 wins and 0 losses and a No. 1 ranking in the State of Mississippi; and

WHEREAS, Coach Hester's exemplary character is an inspiration to all the young men who have played on the New Hope Baseball Team; and

WHEREAS, Coach Hester's outstanding tenure at New Hope has resulted in his being named 1996 National High School Baseball Coach of the Year; and

WHEREAS, it is the policy of the Legislature to recognize outstanding contributions to the State of Mississippi and to the betterment of the youth of our state:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, THE SENATE CONCURRING THEREIN, That we do hereby commend and congratulate Coach Stacy Hester upon being named 1996 National High School Coach of the Year.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be furnished to Coach Stacy Hester and to New Hope High School.
