A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION COMMENDING AUDREY DORROH ON BEING CROWNED THIRD ALTERNATE TO MISS MISSISSIPPI. 

WHEREAS, Audrey Dorroh was crowned Miss Grenada County 1996, and during the summer of 1996, she was crowned third alternate to Miss Mississippi; and

WHEREAS, Audrey is currently a junior at the University of Mississippi majoring in Dietetics and Psychology; and

WHEREAS, always willing to help others, Audrey was selected to be a spokesperson for the Greenwood-Leflore StaHome Health Hospice and for the past several years she has made numerous appearances singing and speaking to civic organizations, churches and schools; and

WHEREAS, Audrey has received numerous awards for her musical talent such as winning the Bach Honors Competition, the Bach Medal, receiving all Superior ratings in the Mississippi State Hymn Playing Festival, all Superior ratings in the National Guild of Piano Teachers Audition, all Superior ratings from the Mississippi Teachers Association, and was selected to attend the MPSEA Band Clinic; and

WHEREAS, Audrey's goals are to succeed as a working marriage partner and parent where she will welcome life's challenges, to live with contentment, to continue to participate in community service endeavors and to make worthwhile contributions to society; and

WHEREAS, it is the policy of this Legislature to recognize and honor the great citizens of the State of Mississippi:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, THE SENATE CONCURRING THEREIN, That we do hereby commend and congratulate Audrey Dorroh on being crowned third alternate to Miss Mississippi 1996 and wish her continued success in all of her future endeavors.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be furnished to Audrey Dorroh and to members of the Capitol Press Corps.
