AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE GOVERNING AUTHORITIES OF THE CITY OF BILOXI, MISSISSIPPI, TO DONATE A SUM OF MONEY NOT TO EXCEED THIRTY-FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS TO BEAUVOIR, THE JEFFERSON DAVIS SHRINE; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES. 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. The governing authorities of the City of Biloxi, Mississippi, in their discretion, may donate a sum of money not to exceed Thirty-five Thousand Dollars ($35,000.00), from any available funds, during the city 1996-1997 fiscal year, to Beauvoir, the Jefferson Davis Shrine, to aid in the construction of the Jefferson Davis Presidential Library and the development of a public relations office for advertising.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
