AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE GOVERNING AUTHORITIES OF THE CITY OF INDIANOLA, MISSISSIPPI, TO COMPENSATE SAMMIE MCCLINTON FOR LOST WAGES; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES. 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. The governing authorities of the City of Indianola, Mississippi, in their discretion, are authorized to appropriate and pay to Sammie McClinton, out of any money available in the city general fund, an amount not to exceed Four Thousand Three Hundred Twenty Dollars and Twenty Cents ($4,320.20), as compensation for lost wages for the period beginning on or about May 1, 1995 and going through on or about September 22, 1995, when he was suspended without pay after being indicted for a criminal offense, which offense was later dismissed on motion of the State of Mississippi.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
