AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE GOVERNING AUTHORITIES OF THE CITY OF NATCHEZ TO ENTER INTO AN EXCLUSIVE VENDING RIGHTS AND/OR EXCLUSIVE SPONSORSHIP AGREEMENT FOR THE SALE OF SOFT DRINK BEVERAGES AND PRODUCTS AT CITY-OWNED FACILITIES; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES. 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. (1) The governing authorities of the City of Natchez, in their discretion, may enter into an exclusive vending rights and/or exclusive sponsorship agreement with a responsible vendor for the sale and marketing of soft drink beverages and products at city-owned facilities. The agreement may be for a term of not longer than ten (10) years, including any renewals.

(2) The agreement may be on such terms and conditions as are deemed advisable by the governing authorities of the City of Natchez, without regard to the requirements of Section 21-17-1 or Section 31-7-1 et seq., Mississippi Code of 1972.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
