AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF FORREST COUNTY TO CONTRIBUTE TO HATTIESBURG DOWNTOWN ASSOCIATION, INCORPORATED; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES. 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. The Board of Supervisors of Forrest County, Mississippi, may, in its discretion, contribute to the Hattiesburg Downtown Association, Incorporated, out of any available county funds, an amount not to exceed Twenty-four Thousand Dollars ($24,000.00), during the county's 1996-1997 fiscal year.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
