House Bill 1709

AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE GOVERNING AUTHORITIES OF THE CITY OF BILOXI, MISSISSIPPI, TO DONATE A SUM OF MONEY NOT TO EXCEED $25,000.00 TO THE LYNN MEADOWS DISCOVERY CENTER TO MATCH OTHER FUNDS TO ESTABLISH A CHILDREN'S MUSEUM; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES. 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. The governing authorities of the City of Biloxi, Mississippi, in their discretion, may donate a sum of money not to exceed Twenty-five Thousand Dollars ($25,000.00), from any available funds, during the city's 1996-1997 fiscal year to the Lynn Meadows Discovery Center to match other donated funds to develop a building and facility on property located in the City of Gulfport, Mississippi, for a children's museum.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
