AN ACT TO PROVIDE THAT THE MISSISSIPPI DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION SHALL CONSTRUCT AN INTERCHANGE ON U.S. HIGHWAY 45 BYPASS IN THE CITY OF MERIDIAN AT SUCH LOCATION AS TO PROVIDE BOTH NORTHBOUND AND SOUTHBOUND MOTORISTS ON U.S. HIGHWAY 45 BYPASS CONVENIENT ACCESS TO THAT PROPERTY OWNED BY THE CITY OF MERIDIAN KNOWN AS THE BONITA LAKES PROPERTY; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES. 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. The Mississippi Department of Transportation shall construct an interchange on U. S. Highway 45 Bypass in the City of Meridian between the point where U. S. Highway 45 Bypass intersects with Mississippi Highway 19 and the point where U. S. Highway 45 Bypass intersects with Mississippi Highway 145. Such interchange shall be suitably located so as to provide both northbound and southbound motorists on U. S. Highway 45 Bypass convenient access to that property owned by the City of Meridian known as the Bonita Lakes property.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
