AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF PANOLA COUNTY TO EXCHANGE A PARCEL OF LAND OWNED BY THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI FOR A PARCEL OF LAND OWNED BY PANOLA COUNTY, BOTH PARCELS BEING LOCATED IN THE CITY OF BATESVILLE, PANOLA COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES. 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. The Mississippi Forestry Commission, through the Department of Finance and Administration and upon meeting the requirements of Section 29-1-1, may enter into an agreement with the Board of Supervisors of Panola County, to exchange a parcel of land owned by the Mississippi Forestry Commission, the parcel being located at MFC Fire Tower, Highway 6, East, Batesville, Panola County, Mississippi, for a parcel of land owned by Panola County, the parcel being located at Highway 35, North, Batesville, Panola County, Mississippi.

SECTION 2. The State of Mississippi shall retain all mineral rights to the state-owned real property exchanged pursuant to this act.

SECTION 3. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
