AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 49-15-16, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO REQUIRE THE COMMISSION ON MARINE RESOURCES TO DEVELOP A LIMITED ENTRY FISHERIES MANAGEMENT PROGRAM; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES. 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. Section 49-15-16, Mississippi Code of 1972, is amended as follows:

49-15-16. The Commission on Marine Resources shall develop a limited entry fisheries management program for all resource groups. The commission shall require a license for each resource group and shall establish the fees for such licenses. The commission shall establish a means test or any other criteria to determine eligibility for licenses under the limited entry program.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
