AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 69-5-101, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO REVISE THE MANAGEMENT MEMBERSHIP OF THE MISSISSIPPI LIVESTOCK SHOW; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES. 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. Section 69-5-101, Mississippi Code of 1972, is amended as follows:

69-5-101. In order to encourage and promote the raising of livestock and dairy stock in the state, there is hereby created a body politic and corporate to be hereafter known as "Mississippi Livestock Show" which * * * body politic and corporate shall be under the management and control of the Commissioner of Agriculture and Commerce, Director of Extension Service, Coordinator of Agriculture and Related Technology of the State Department of Vocational Education, Extension 4-H Livestock Specialist at Mississippi State University, Director of the Mississippi Fair Commission and President of Mississippi Livestock Council, hereinafter designated as directors, who shall serve without compensation.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 1997.
