AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF HARRISON COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO DONATE SUMS OF MONEY NOT TO EXCEED IN THE AGGREGATE MORE THAN FORTY THOUSAND DOLLARS TO AID THE UNITED WAY OF SOUTH MISSISSIPPI TO DEVELOP A BUILDING AND FACILITY ON PROPERTY LOCATED IN THE CITY OF GULFPORT, MISSISSIPPI; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. The Board of Supervisors of Harrison County, Mississippi, in its discretion, may donate sums of money not to exceed in the aggregate more than Forty Thousand Dollars ($40,000.00) from any available county funds, during the calendar year 1997, to the United Way of South Mississippi to develop a building and facility on property located in the City of Gulfport, Mississippi.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
