AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE GOVERNING AUTHORITIES OF THE CITY OF BILOXI, MISSISSIPPI, TO DONATE A SUM OF MONEY NOT TO EXCEED TWENTY-FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS TO THE UNITED WAY OF SOUTH MISSISSIPPI; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES. 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. The governing authorities of the City of Biloxi, Mississippi, in their discretion, may donate a sum of money not to exceed Twenty-five Thousand Dollars ($25,000.00), from any available funds, during the city 1996-1997 fiscal year to the United Way of South Mississippi, to aid in the development of a building and facility on property located in Gulfport, Mississippi.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
