Newborns; require hospitals to perform pulse oximetry screening on after birth.
AN ACT TO CREATE NEW SECTION 41-9-39, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO REQUIRE EACH HOSPITAL THAT PROVIDES BIRTHING AND NEWBORN CARE SERVICES TO PERFORM A PULSE OXIMETRY SCREENING ON EVERY NEWBORN IN ITS CARE NOT LESS THAN 24 HOURS AFTER BIRTH; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
