Title: AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 27-65-75, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO PROVIDE FOR THE PAYMENT OF AN ADDITIONAL PERCENTAGE OF SALES TAX REVENUE GENERATED FROM BUSINESS ACTIVITIES WITHIN THE CITY OF JACKSON, MISSISSIPPI; TO PROVIDE THAT SUCH PAYMENT TO THE CITY OF JACKSON IS FOR THE PURPOSE OF ASSISTING THE CITY TO DEFRAY THE AD VALOREM TAX LOSS THE CITY SUSTAINS AS A RESULT OF THE STATE OWNERSHIP OF PROPERTY IN THE CITY, AND FOR DEFRAYING INCREASED INFRASTRUCTURE COSTS INCURRED BY THE CITY AS A RESULT OF BEING THE SEAT OF STATE GOVERNMENT; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
