Title: AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 43-13-117, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO AUTHORIZE MEDICAID REIMBURSEMENT FOR AN UNLIMITED NUMBER OF INPATIENT HOSPITAL DAYS FOR CHILDREN UNDER SIX YEARS IF MEDICALLY NECESSARY, TO AUTHORIZE THE DIVISION TO ASSESS HOSPITALS AND NURSING FACILITIES FOR THE SOLE PURPOSE OF FINANCING THE STATE PORTION OF THE MEDICARE UPPER PAYMENT LIMITS PROGRAM, TO AUTHORIZE REIMBURSEMENT FOR LONG-TERM ACUTE CARE HOSPITAL SERVICES TO PERSONS OF ANY AGE, AND TO PROVIDE THAT THE DIVISION MAY INCREASE ANY RATE OF REIMBURSEMENT TO PROVIDERS WITHOUT A SPECIFIC AMENDMENT TO LAW BY THE LEGISLATURE; TO AMEND SECTION 43-13-145, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO DECREASE THE ASSESSMENT ON HOSPITAL BEDS FOR THE SUPPORT OF THE MEDICAID PROGRAM; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
