Title: AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 25-11-109, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO PROVIDE THAT ANY MEMBER OF THE PUBLIC EMPLOYEES' RETIREMENT SYSTEM WHO HAS FOUR OR MORE YEARS OF CREDITABLE SERVICE IN THE SYSTEM AND WHO HAS SERVED IN THE NATIONAL GUARD OR IN A RESERVE COMPONENT OF THE UNITED STATES ARMED FORCES FOR NOT LESS THAN TWENTY YEARS SHALL BE ENTITLED TO FOUR YEARS OF CREDITABLE SERVICE IN THE SYSTEM FOR THAT SERVICE IN THE NATIONAL GUARD OR IN THE RESERVE COMPONENT OF THE UNITED STATES ARMED FORCES; TO PROVIDE THAT THE MAXIMUM AMOUNT OF CREDITABLE SERVICE THAT A MEMBER MAY RECEIVE FOR ALL ACTIVE DUTY MILITARY SERVICE AND SERVICE IN THE NATIONAL GUARD OR IN A RESERVE COMPONENT OF THE UNITED STATES ARMED FORCES SHALL NOT EXCEED A CUMULATIVE TOTAL OF FOUR YEARS; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
