Title: AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 27-33-67, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO PROVIDE THAT HOMEOWNERS WHO HAVE BEEN HONORABLY DISCHARGED FROM ACTIVE SERVICE IN ANY BRANCH OF THE ARMED FORCES OF THE UNITED STATES OR MISSISSIPPI NATIONAL GUARD AND HAVE A COMBAT-RELATED VETERANS ADMINISTRATION DISABILITY RATING OF 100% AND THE DISABILITY IS PERMANENT SHALL BE EXEMPT FROM AD VALOREM TAXES ON THEIR HOMESTEAD; TO AMEND SECTION 27-65-111, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO EXEMPT FROM SALES TAXATION SALES OF TANGIBLE PERSONAL PROPERTY OR SERVICES TO PERSONS WHO HAVE BEEN HONORABLY DISCHARGED FROM ACTIVE SERVICE IN ANY BRANCH OF THE ARMED FORCES OF THE UNITED STATES OR THE MISSISSIPPI NATIONAL GUARD AND WHO HAVE A COMBAT-RELATED VETERANS ADMINISTRATION DISABILITY RATING OF 100% AND THE DISABILITY IS PERMANENT; TO LIMIT THE TOTAL SALES AMOUNT TO WHICH SUCH EXEMPTION IS APPLICABLE; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
