Title: AN ACT TO PROHIBIT A PERSON FROM QUALIFYING AS A CANDIDATE FOR MORE THAN ONE OFFICE AT ANY ELECTION; TO REQUIRE THE APPROPRIATE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE OR COMMISSIONER OF ELECTION TO NOTIFY ANY PERSON THAT QUALIFIES FOR MORE THAN ONE OFFICE THAT SUCH PERSON IS REQUIRED TO CHOOSE ONE OFFICE; TO REQUIRE SUCH PERSON TO CHOOSE ONE OFFICE WITHIN A CERTAIN PERIOD OF TIME; TO PROVIDE THAT THE APPROPRIATE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE SHALL CHOOSE THE LAST OFFICE FOR WHICH A PERSON QUALIFIES AS THE ONE OFFICE FOR WHICH THE PERSON QUALIFIES AS A CANDIDATE, IF SUCH PERSON FAILS TO CHOOSE ONE OFFICE WITHIN THE REQUIRED TIME PERIOD; TO AMEND SECTIONS 23-15-299, 23-15-309 AND 23-15-359, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO CONFORM TO THE PRECEDING SECTION; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
