Title: AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 67-1-51, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO PROVIDE THAT THE STATE TAX COMMISSION'S ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE CONTROL DIVISION SHALL NOT ISSUE A PACKAGE RETAILER'S PERMIT IF IT RECEIVES A PETITION OPPOSING THE ISSUANCE OF A PROPOSED PERMIT THAT IS SIGNED BY AT LEAST TEN PERCENT OR FIFTEEN HUNDRED, WHICHEVER IS LESS, OF THE ADULT RESIDENTS RESIDING WITHIN A TWO MILE RADIUS OF THE LOCATION OF THE PROPERTY FOR WHICH A PERMIT IS REQUESTED; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
