Title: AN ACT TO AMEND SECTIONS 63-1-43, 63-1-45 AND 63-1-82, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO INCREASE THE FEES FOR THE INITIAL ISSUANCE AND RENEWAL OF REGULAR DRIVER'S LICENSES, MOTORCYCLE DRIVER'S LICENSES, AND COMMERCIAL DRIVER'S LICENSES; TO CREATE A SPECIAL FUND IN THE STATE TREASURY INTO WHICH THE PROCEEDS FROM THE INCREASED FEES SHALL BE DEPOSITED; TO PROVIDE THAT MONIES IN THE SPECIAL FUND MAY BE EXPENDED, UPON APPROPRIATION BY THE LEGISLATURE, FOR THE PURPOSE OF DEFRAYING THE EXPENSES OF THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY IN IMPROVING AND EXPANDING THE NUMBER OF DRIVER'S LICENSE EXAMINING STATIONS THROUGHOUT THE STATE; TO PROVIDE THAT MONIES IN THE SPECIAL FUND UNNECESSARY TO IMPROVE OR EXPAND DRIVER'S LICENSE EXAMINING STATIONS MAY BE EXPENDED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY, UPON LEGISLATIVE APPROPRIATION, FOR OPERATION AND ADMINISTRATIVE EXPENSES OF THE DEPARTMENT; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
