Title: AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 27-31-1, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO PROVIDE THAT ALL LEASES, LEASE CONTRACTS AND LEASE AGREEMENTS AND LEASEHOLDS AND LEASEHOLD INTERESTS WITH RESPECT TO ANY FACILITY FOR THE GENERATION, TRANSMISSION AND DISTRIBUTION OF ELECTRICITY SHALL BE EXEMPT FROM AD VALOREM TAXATION DURING THE PERIOD OF TIME THAT THE UNITED STATES IS BOTH THE TITLE OWNER AND SUBLESSEE OF SUCH PROPERTY; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
