Title: AN ACT TO CREATE A RESIDENTIAL SCHOOL FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS HAVING DIFFICULTY MEETING NORMAL ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE STANDARDS DUE TO THEIR HOME ENVIRONMENT, FOR THE PURPOSE OF CREATING AN ENVIRONMENT IN WHICH THEY WILL MEET THOSE STANDARDS; TO PROVIDE THAT THE SCHOOL SHALL BE LOCATED ON THE CAMPUS OF MISSISSIPPI VALLEY STATE UNIVERSITY; TO PROVIDE THAT THE SCHOOL SHALL BE GOVERNED BY A BOARD COMPOSED OF REPRESENTATIVES OF CERTAIN INSTITUTIONS OF HIGHER LEARNING AND THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION; TO PROVIDE THAT STUDENTS OF MISSISSIPPI VALLEY STATE UNIVERSITY SHALL SERVE AS MENTORS AND TUTORS FOR THE HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
