Title: AN ACT TO AMEND SECTIONS 25-11-111 AND 25-11-114, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO PROVIDE THAT ANY MEMBER OF THE PUBLIC EMPLOYEES' RETIREMENT SYSTEM, REGARDLESS OF AGE, WHO WAS EMPLOYED AS A FIRE FIGHTER AT THE TIME OF WITHDRAWAL FROM SERVICE, MAY RETIRE IF SUCH EMPLOYEE HAS COMPLETED AT LEAST 20 YEARS OF CREDITABLE SERVICE AS A FIRE FIGHTER AT THE TIME OF SUCH WITHDRAWAL FROM SERVICE; TO AMEND SECTION 25-13-11, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO REDUCE TO 20 THE NUMBER OF YEARS OF CREDITABLE SERVICE THAT A MEMBER OF THE HIGHWAY SAFETY PATROL RETIREMENT SYSTEM MUST HAVE TO RETIRE REGARDLESS OF AGE; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
