Title: AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 37-3-4, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO PROVIDE THAT THE MISSISSIPPI SCHOOL BOARDS ASSOCIATION SHALL CONDUCT BASIC EDUCATION PROGRAMS FOR SCHOOL BOARD MEMBERS; TO PROVIDE THAT APPROPRIATIONS FOR SUCH TRAINING PROGRAMS BE PAID DIRECTLY TO THE ASSOCIATION FOR SUCH PROGRAMS; THAT A SEVEN MEMBER ADVISORY BOARD BE ESTABLISHED TO RECOMMEND CONTENT FOR THE COURSES OF INSTRUCTION; THAT AN ANNUAL REPORT BE PREPARED DESCRIBING THE ACTIVITIES AND AN EVALUATION OF THE TRAINING PROGRAM; TO AMEND SECTION 37-7-306, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO PROVIDE THAT THE MISSISSIPPI SCHOOL BOARDS ASSOCIATION SHALL PROVIDE THE BASIC AND CONTINUING TRAINING PROGRAMS FOR SCHOOL BOARD MEMBERS; TO PROVIDE FOR THE REPEAL OF THE ACT ON JULY 1, 2007; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
