Title: AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 27-65-17, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO REDUCE THE SALES TAX RATE ON RETAIL SALES OF UNPREPARED FOOD FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION TO 1.3%; TO AMEND SECTION 27-65-75, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO PROVIDE THAT ALL OF THE SALES TAX COLLECTED ON RETAIL SALES OF PREPARED FOOD WITHIN A MUNICIPALITY SHALL BE ALLOCATED FOR DISTRIBUTION AND PAID TO SUCH MUNICIPALITY; TO INCREASE THE AMOUNT OF THE SALES TAX DIVERSION TO THE SCHOOL AD VALOREM TAX REDUCTION FUND AND THE EDUCATION ENHANCEMENT FUND; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
