Title: AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 37-13-91, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO CHANGE THE DATE THAT ESTABLISHES WHETHER OR NOT A CHILD IS COMPULSORY-SCHOOL-AGE FROM SEPTEMBER 1 TO AUGUST 1 AND TO INCLUDE IN THE DEFINITION OF THE TERM "COMPULSORY-SCHOOL-AGE CHILD" THOSE STUDENTS WHO TURN SEVENTEEN YEARS OF AGE DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR; TO AMEND SECTION 37-15-9, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, IN CONFORMITY THERETO; TO AMEND SECTIONS 37-35-1, 37-35-3 AND 37-35-9, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO INCREASE THE GENERAL AGE REQUIREMENT FOR PARTICIPATING IN THE GED PROGRAM FROM SIXTEEN TO SEVENTEEN; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
