Title: AN ACT TO AMEND SECTIONS 37-19-7, 37-19-21 AND 37-21-7, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO ELIMINATE THE REQUIREMENT THAT THE SINE DIE GENERAL FUND REVENUE ESTIMATE INCREASE BY AT LEAST FIVE PERCENT ANNUALLY AS A PREREQUISITE TO IMPLEMENTING INCREASES IN SALARIES FOR TEACHERS AND ASSISTANT TEACHERS AND IN THE ALLOTMENT FOR SUPPORTIVE SERVICES IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PLAN TO RAISE TEACHERS' SALARIES TO THE SOUTHEASTERN AVERAGE OVER THE NEXT FIVE YEARS, AND TO ELIMINATE THE REQUIREMENT THAT SUCH SALARIES BE INCREASED FOR REVENUE GROWTH EXCEEDING FIVE PERCENT; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
