Title: AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE AND DIRECT THE DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SERVICES TO ESTABLISH AND OPERATE A STATEWIDE TANF WORK PROGRAM TRAINING AND RESOURCE CENTER, FOCUSING ON COMPREHENSIVE ASSESSMENT, EDUCATION, SKILL DEVELOPMENT, TRAINING, SUBSTANCE ABUSE, MENTAL AND PHYSICAL BARRIERS, OUT OF WEDLOCK PREGNANCY, PREVENTION OF TEEN PREGNANCY, ABSTINENCE EDUCATION, AND ENTREPRENEURIAL DEVELOPMENT; TO INTEGRATE THE TANF WORK PROGRAM IN MISSISSIPPI'S WORK FORCE BY ALLOCATING FUNDING FOR LOCAL EMPLOYERS TO TRAIN AND HIRE TANF PARTICIPANTS; TO PROVIDE FOR FUNDING FOR THE PROGRAM; TO AMEND SECTION 43-17-5, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO REQUIRE DHS TO PROVIDE CHILD CARE, TRANSITIONAL CHILD CARE AND TRANSPORTATION SERVICES FOR TANF RECIPIENTS; TO REVISE CURRENT CHILD CARE AND TRANSPORTATION POLICY; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
