Title: AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 65-1-8, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO PROVIDE THAT CERTAIN RAILROAD GRADE CROSSINGS ON STATE HIGHWAYS WITHIN MUNICIPALITIES WHICH THE MISSISSIPPI TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION DETERMINES SHOULD BE ABANDONED MAY CONTINUE TO BE USED IF THE GOVERNING AUTHORITIES OF THE MUNICIPALITY AGREE TO CONSTRUCT, UPDATE AND MAINTAIN THE CROSSINGS IN A SAFE AND REASONABLE MANNER AND TO INSTALL SUCH SIGNS, SIGNALS, GATES OR WARNING DEVICES AS THE TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION MAY REQUIRE; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
