Title: AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 41-79-5, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO PROVIDE THAT ABSTINENCE EDUCATION SHALL BE THE STATE STANDARD FOR ANY SEX-RELATED EDUCATION TAUGHT IN THE PUBLIC SCHOOLS AND TO AUTHORIZE LOCAL SCHOOL BOARDS TO DEVIATE FROM THIS CURRICULUM ONLY BY VOTE OF THE SCHOOL BOARD; TO CLARIFY THE NOTIFICATION GIVEN TO PARENTS RELATING TO SEX EDUCATION PRESENTED TO THEIR CHILDREN BY PUBLIC SCHOOLS; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
