Title: AN ACT TO PROVIDE THAT THE DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SERVICES SHALL EXTEND ITS CONTRACT WITH MILLSAPS COLLEGE TO COLLECT DATA REGARDING TEMPORARY ASSISTANCE FOR NEEDY FAMILIES (TANF) RECIPIENTS IN CERTAIN COUNTIES, AND TO USE THE DATA FROM THOSE COUNTIES IN PREPARING ITS STUDY AND EVALUATION OF THE TANF WORK PROGRAM PURSUANT TO THE CONTRACT BETWEEN THE DEPARTMENT AND MILLSAPS COLLEGE; TO REQUIRE THE MISSISSIPPI DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SERVICES TO COLLECT CERTAIN DATA REGARDING THE PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY AND WORK OPPORTUNITY RECONCILIATION ACT OF 1996 AND TEMPORARY ASSISTANCE FOR NEEDY FAMILIES (TANF) AND MAKE SUCH INFORMATION AVAILABLE TO THE PUBLIC; TO REQUIRE THE MISSISSIPPI DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SERVICES TO COOPERATE IN ANY STUDY FUNDED BY A STATE, COUNTY OR MUNICIPAL BODY, AND CONDUCTED BY AN INDEPENDENT EXPERT THAT CONCERNS THE IMPACT UPON MISSISSIPPI RESIDENT ALIENS OF THE DENIAL OR TERMINATION OF ASSISTANCE UNDER CERTAIN FEDERAL WELFARE PROGRAMS; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
